Membership
WGA is a nonprofit organization which consists of a community of geologists, landmen, geophysicists, engineers, students and people with an interest for geology.
Members have the opportunity to engage in weekly luncheons, field trips, core workshops & short courses throughout the year!
WGA also partakes in the annual Gene George Memorial Golf Tournament, summer picnic, and group Christmas party.
Our Mission
To facilitate the dissemination of information of geology and promote professional cooperation among geologists conducting work or research in or about the state of Wyoming.
Our History
Since the founding of the organization in 1943, Wyoming Geologic Association has continued to promote research and training by creating geologic publications of symposia and field guidebooks, and participation of community events within the industry, academia and government.
WGA also encourages development of new geoscientists through the management of multiple scholarships.
